It is simply one final set of eyes on your document before you take it live. It involves the following tasks.

1. Read the document
2. Find any spelling, punctuation, typographical, spacing, word choice or grammar errors.
3. Mark the errors (tracking) on the document.
4. Return the Document in the format sent or the format of client’s choice.

After receiving back the marked up document, the creator can choose to correct the textual errors delineated.

Proofreading is not a rewrite, a rewording or a rearranging of your document.
